COVID-19 ANNOUNCEMENT

Dear Guests
We are happy to announce that The Goodland is open to all local guests. It’s business as usual… Well, sort of…
In addition to the measures already mention in the 20 June announcement, we will be promoting and implementing the following:

The cottages will have a reduced amount of soft furnishings and décor – this will make it easier to thoroughly clean and wash all items.

There will be at least 24hours between bookings so our cleaning ladies will have enough time to get the cottage sparkling clean.

Self check-in and check-out will be arranged once your booking is finalised.

Regular washing of hands with soap or alcohol based hand sanitizer among our staff members - we encourage guests to do the same.
We look forward to hearing from you and hopefully meeting you, obviously from a distance :-)

Dear Guests
Since the Coronavirus began gaining a foothold globally earlier in 2020, we have been carefully monitoring the situation. We would like to assure all our guests that we are doing everything in our power to help prevent the spread of this disease.
As a small establishment, we have always applied stringent measures as part our cleaning regiment after each set of guests have checked out. In addition to these we will be promoting and implementing the following:

Regular washing of hands with soap or alcohol based hand sanitizer among our staff members and we will encourage guests to do the same.

Avoid close contact with people who are sick

Cover your cough or sneeze with a flexed elbow or tissue, then throw the tissue in the bin.

Cleaning staff will more diligently clean and disinfect frequently touched objects and surfaces within the units.

Cleaning staff to wear facemasks while cleaning the cottage and handling bedding etc.

Advise guests whom have contracted the virus – or who have been in contact with infected individuals - to not stay at The Goodland.
At The Goodland the units are sunny and well ventilated and we are fortunate that the property is large enough that guests seldom have contact with staff or other guests - affording privacy and relaxation is, and has always been, our top priority.
We would also like to inform local guests that all bookings from international guests have been voluntarily canceled following the announced travel restrictions.
We encourage everyone to do their own research into how to reduce the spread of this virus and ensure that they communicate and seek immediate treatment should they start to feel or show any symptoms.
We reiterate that in the case of known infection or known contact with infected person by any future guest, we would prefer said guest not visit The Goodland as planned while virus remains infectious. You are urged to postpone your stay – if adequate notice is given - without any penalty.
Lastly, I would like to add that we are a resilient Nation and I am confidant that if we work together, we will come through this stronger (and definitely cleaner) on the other end.
